* Klatringkatt Madame Mani - 67 14a Orange eyed White - 17 June 1995

Mani is a white orange eyed neutered female NFC. Mani was born on June 17th 1995, and she is the daughter of Elfentanz Sonja (67 31t) and Kyrrekatt Kimberley Hvit (67 14a), and therefore litter sister to Premier * Klatringkatt Dagwood.

I had decided that I wanted to keep a girl from my first litter of kittens, but after having sexed the whole litter as boys, I decided to keep Dag anyway. - It was not until the litter was going on for 7 weeks old, that I made the discovery that Mani was actually a girl. Mani was promptly renamed Madame Mani and obviously had to stay.

Mani made her show debut as a 4 month old kitten at the Cumberland Cat Club Show. John Harrison was judging and obviously liked her, as he placed her 1st (and the BoB) out of 3 cats, including Dag and another male kitten. Mani did not seem to mind being shown, so we entered her for a few more shows. Mani had mixed results at her next 2 shows (she was still a kitten), but by the time she was an adult at the Preston & Blackpool Show in 1997, she did better. Mani gained 2 IC's out of 3 shows as an adult. Mani was eventually neutered and was shown once more, but had been off the show bench for so long that she hated it. Unfortunately, she was that unhappy that she ended up scratching a steward and was withdrawn from the rest of the show. Unfortunately, Mani has not been shown since.

I did try to breed from Mani but that did not work out I'm afraid, so it was decided that it was probably best for her if she was neutered. Mani has indeed become much happier as a neuter.

Mani is living life to the full.
